Philosophy :

Clear Lake Music Lessons employ teachers who excel in musicality and
technique particular to their instrument.  We are interested in creating
instrumentalists as well as musicians.  Technical proficiency is certainly
an integral element of playing an instrument; however we also stress
interpretation and how to approach learning the material.  Measurable goals
such as reading, writing and performing music are emphasized by the teachers
as is improving the students overall understanding of music and composition.

Each student is taught specifically according to their skill level. The
lessons are customized to suit the student’s needs, such as,
school requirements, personal preferences, and stylistic inclinations.
As fundamentals concerning theory and physical capability are met
the student will be encouraged to explore their own creativity.

The classes will be an environment which is fun for the student and
conducive to learning.  Questions are appreciated and advice in
guiding the direction and approach of the lessons is welcomed.
